A few of us decided it would be a good idea to camp out the night before!! The words that spring to mind are RAIN, MUD, COLD, WIND, MORE MUD, BEER and the bloody crows!!

Sunday morning dawned very early for us all at the campsite, the crows had a helping hand in that!!!Image After a quick cuppa and re-pack of the cars we headed off to Loch Lomond Shores, we were all very pleased to see the sun had put in an appearance today…..

We went to the coffee shop to register for the run and help out with a bit of stewarding. Murphy was very pleased with his run pack!!
At last all the mini’s had arrived and it was just about time for the off! As Mick was doing the photo’s. I had to drive Mo round in the mini cavalcade, not easy when you can’t get the seat back far enough an she hates going so slow!!!I think it took a good 30minutes for all the cars to get round.

At last everyone had gone, time to jump into mo and head on after them! We followed Brenda and Andrew, hadn’t found my map by this point!! Halfway up the A82 our map seemed to appear in the bottom of the carrier bag I’d emptied twice! Just in time for us to take the amazing road through Glen Douglas, watching out for the Sheep!!

We at the miniclan are delighted to announce that the 2016 Thistle Run has raised a record-breaking £8000 for the charities, CLAPA and RNLI Anstruther.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed so generously to the event, and also to all of our volunteers who have spent months planning and organising the day to make it go as smoothly as possible.
