Notes & History
Bought for £150 on 9th November 1989 from my manager who was sick to death of it because it had an irreparable engine. Tried to repair it with limited success and drove it until 1997 when it was really fit for the scrappers. We decided to get it restored and had a Metro 1300cc engine fitted. The restoration was little more than a good lick of paint and a few metal plates welded on. It failed the next MOT and the gearbox blew up. Not happy we took it to Clarke Macdonald who told us what he thought of the work so far and replaced the engine with the one now fitted.

In 2006 it again was a time to decide to scrap or spend serious money to keep Winnie on the road. We went to Minimaster in Penrith and after spending serious money we have Winnie as you see her now.

A group of Mini Clan members set off on a run to deliver the first of three cheques for the charities set to receive Thistle Run 2009 sponser money.
The first to receive the big clan cheque was 'Solas Care Unit' Southern General, Glasgow.

Escorted by the charity proposer Mr Dennis Buckle we presented the cheque to a very gracious ward staff.
